People doing really incredible and selfless things in BC – be one of those people, writer suggests

Yes, it’s true – even as the flooding disasters in BC continue to unfold, and while there should be plenty of food and toilet paper to go around, some people have been hoarding, and the grocery store shelves are bare.
Sometimes people do really stupid and selfish things when they’re scared – don’t be those people.
Because you know what else people have been doing?!
- delivering free pizza to evacuees and those caught on the roads, and then refusing to accept donations to compensate costs and labour.
- Helping one another, previously strangers, out of battered vehicles during an active landslide.
- Flying others to safety; many pilots donating their time and aircraft while risking their own lives to save others.
- Sharing.
- Opening their doors to strangers: Churches, schools, Bible camps, community halls, homes, and many other loving places of refuge and comfort.
- Preparing and serving thousands of meals.
- Donating dollars, food, water, gas cards, groceries, and more.
- Working around the clock to meet the needs of others by creating safety, support, and solutions.
- Praying.
- Rescuing and transporting pets and livestock.
- Providing medications
- Continuing to fight exhaustion, depletion, heartbreak, discouragement, fear, weariness, and more in order to meet the needs of their community members.
Sometimes people do really incredible and selfless things during the hour of greatest need – be those people.
