To date, all testimony provided during the trial has been by members of the Taxi industry, including seven full days by Metro Taxi president Marc Andre Way. Way’s testimony provided a comprehensive description of the Taxi industry in Ottawa; how it evolved over the decades; promises and commitments made by Ottawa to workers and investors in the industry; and how the industry was devastated when Ottawa permitted Uber to enter the market while disregarding regulations and safety requirements developed over 50 years.

Today’s proceedings continue with members of industry who immigrated to Canada and invested time and money in Ottawa’s Taxi service.
