I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. I’ve travelled from one end of this country to the other and talked to many people from many walks of life, countries, ethic, and cultural backgrounds.

Rich, poor, middle class and those on the fringe of whatever edge they’re on. And one thing I I’ve learned is this: this is God’s Country.

Jammin’ gears, serving fries, diggin’ ditches. Whether folks are inputting numbers, selling products, or studying in the halls of our institutes of learning.

Tom Marazzo launches podcast today

Tom Marazzo, former member of the Canadian Armed Forces and key supporter of the Freedom Convoy in 2022, is launching his own podcast today. His first guest is Kristen Nagle of Canada’s Frontline Nurses.

“In January 2022, Canadians put our livelihoods on the line and trucked across our country in the bitter cold, to uphold the Rights and Freedoms of ALL Canadians, because of unreasonable mandates being imposed by our Federal and Provincial governments. Mandates that violate: The Constitution of Canada, Our Charter of Rights and Freedoms, The Privacy Act, The Nuremberg Code, and multiple others,” Marazzo writes.

2024 opening planned for Gordie Howe Bridge

The new Gordie Howe Bridge between Windsor and Detroit is expected to open at the end of 2024, and is using a “dual design” apect.

“’Dual design’” means that it’s meeting the design specifications of both Canada and the US. If there’s ever a conflict between the design specifications, we go with the higher of the two specifications,” Heather Grondin told a packed room at the Hamilton Waterfront Centre on May 4th.  

Grondin is the vice president of the Windsor-Detroit Bridge Authority and was invited to address the the Hamilton Transportation Club (HTC), which has resumed meeting after a two year COVID hiatus.

Last year, several witnesses testified under oath that Coutts and Ottawa were separate and distinct protests. There was no coordination, no grand plan. The leaders were different, and they weren’t in contact with each other. The freedom movement was organic. Lots of people, across the country, were concerned about the erosion of our freedoms. Some traveled to the nation’s capital. Other protested closer to home.

Multiple fines dropped against 14 Coutts truckers

Charges have been dropped against 14 Freedom Convoy truckers who participated in the Coutts, Alberta protest last year. 

In February 2022, protesters blocked the Canada-US border in Coutts to protest Covid-19 restrictions like vaccine mandates. The demonstration lasted around two weeks until the RCMP discovered weapons after executing a search warrant. 

Fourteen truckers were charged with parking violations, but all were exonerated after The Democracy Fund’s (TDF) lawyer pointed out that the law in question did not apply to vehicles parked in an urban area.
