Road Warrior News introduces a new feature, “RECAP”
Beginning February 20th, RWN will offer a new feature, “RECAP.” RECAP will be a collection of short news or interest items which are late-breaking, or not ready for a fully-researched article. Wherever possible, RWN will provide links to more in-depth coverage for interested readers.
As confirmed by a Road Warrior News source and depicted in the photo below, tow trucks with door labels reading “Under Contract to the OPP” covering their company logos assisted in removing rigs from downtown Ottawa over the weekend. They evidently did not want their faces to be shown, to anyone.
Alberta Premier Jason Kenney joins the Canadian Civil Liberties Association and the Canadian Constitutional Foundation in filing a Court challenge to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s invocation of the Emergency Measures Act.
Ottawa Police Services Release – Sunday, February 20, 2022 9:35 am
(Ottawa) –The Ottawa Police Service arrested Tyson George BILLINGS, 44 years old, of High Prairie, Alberta on February 19, 2022.
BILLINGS has been charged by the Criminal Investigations Section with:
- Mischief
- Counselling to Commit the Offence of Mischief
- Counselling to Commit the Offence of Disobey Court Order (s.127)
- Obstruct Police
- Counselling to Commit the Offence of Obstruct Police
He is scheduled to appear in court today.
The Ottawa Police issued a notice to protestors advising that anyone blocking streets, or assisting others in the blocking streets, are committing a criminal offence and could be arrested.
Protestors were also informed to cease further unlawful activity, or they would face charges or fines.
