Re: Toronto flies up its own arsehole
To the Editor:
This is by far the best newspaper article of all time and we should distribute it endlessly.
I know, having flown up my own arsehole by starting off with (and operating) a taxi plate; and ending up in a six week coma due to to a critical case of Covid 19, and life-saved by the Oakville hospital ICU.
Maybe God intervened because the other drivers at CYYZ airport did not survive and Saint Peter must have sent me back to tell the story.
I have learned by trial and fire that all of the municipalities are flocking like The Oozlum Bird of Australian mythology. I claim that this is true because the municipalities never gave any direction to the taxi industry regarding the Covid Emergency; but then proceeded to run away from their post and hide from this lung eating virus. To this very day this has caused the changing of the interface of public decorum.
Because nobody but one 311 in the wicket and a senior male security guard is there to serve the attending public.
This newspaper reporter is very much on to the story. I am reminded of Mayor John Tory reminding the taxi drivers not to protest. Because (beyond all reason) “it will not go well for you.” Was the Toronto protest also an example of unwanted licentious behavior?
If I were to draw a cartoon for the Road Warrior and The Taxi News it would show this Oozlum circling with other Oozlums. The caption would say,
“Avoid backward flight, it will not go well for you.”
