Uber as “the Great White Shark”

To the Editor, regarding Uber launches in Sudbury

And so, Uber strikes again.   There’s a term that ideally captures Uber, which propriety and good etiquette prevent me from stating.   While it is not Richard Nixon’s favourite pejorative, suffice to say, the context is similar.   I’ll leave it up to your fertile imagination.

Quoting Mike Sanders:  ‘They, (Uber), are allowed to buy the market.’   

Quoting Bill Sibeon:  ‘You can’t just rebuild what took 50 years to build.’   

Amen to both.

The perfect analogy for Uber, is the Great White Shark featured in Steven Spielberg’s 1975 film, Jaws, which voraciously devours its prey.
