Beck Taxi for the win!

Legendary media personality gives Facebook kudos to Beck Taxi driver

“I was up north for the past month, house sitting and tending to two cats. As my friend does not have Netflix or Prime but has TV, I watched a lot of TV news and began to wonder; “What ever happened to Toronto The Good?”

Two days ago I boarded the train in Barrie for Union Station and my journey home was amazing.

I had soooo much luggage; my small very heavy suitcase on rollers, a very large stuffed tote bag, my purse and one golf club I found it in mine golf bag and took it back to give to its rightful owner.

I end up sitting across from a young 30ish year old attractive women with the same amount of luggage minus the golf club. Her name is Diana Little; my birth name is Diana Petty

Diana is on her way back to Oxford University in the UK for post doctoral work after getting her PHD – her love is 18th century Literature – poetry

My heart smiled this young women is amazing!!!!!

Get to Union Station it’s a long walk to my home; I approach the two cabs at the front of the line up but they won’t take me as it’s not far enough.

I walk to the corner; cross the intersection and a Beck Taxi pulls up; I say, “I’m only going a short distance.”

He responds;

“I saw how they treated you because I was parked across the street; they were so rude but I will take you hee got out helped with my luggage and drove me home.

The meter read 6.00; I gave him 10.00 and hugged him.

Called Beck taxi; got his name, Mr. Abdi Gedi from Somalia, and told them my story he’ll get a commendation.

What a wonderfully kind human being and he said that all Beck Taxis would do the same thing.

But wait there’s more: dropped off my stuff. went to a local store and while exiting the heavy door opened and immediately started to close then a man walking by grabbed it and held it open for me.

Toronto the Good exists!!”
