Oral closing arguments July 4 and 5 in Ottawa Taxi court case, Zoom link here

July 4thย and 5thย have been reserved for oral submissions in the Metro Taxi vs City of Ottawa trial. Observers expect that a decision from the judge on the liability issue will come in the late fall 2023 or winter of 2024.ย 

Following Judge Smith’s s decision on liability, there will the be evidence and argument over damages.
If the City of Ottawa is found liable, the judgement could be as much as $215,000,000, plus pre-and post-judgment interest, plus costs.

Toronto’s VFH test questions, answers posted to YouTube

The questions and answers used as Toronto’s Vehicle for Hire (VFH) testing program have been collected and posted to several sites on YouTube.

“All questions a real test questions, collected from those who took the test recently,” says to opening slide of Simplifoo’s YouTube page. “Hope this will definitely help you.”

Another site, run by Maple Leaf Tamil, has more than 10,000 views.

Because the VFH test is administered to drivers using their own cell phones to take the test, drivers could keep YouTube open during the test to check for the correct answer.
