EVs are 5 per cent of auto sales, at most

“We know the federal government had to throw in the towel and stop subsidizing the purchase of EVs sales are tanking maybe 4 per cent or 5 per cent at best, but most people are not going to buy something unless they get something for a deal. And for that reason, a lot of car dealers across Canada were kind of left holding the bag, because when the decision was made all of a sudden, a lot of these deals were sort of in process, and so they’ve been left on the hook.”
