Teen escapes alleged Lyft abduction
Good Morning America reports that a teen aged girl was allegedly abducted by her Lyft driver on February 14th.
The girl escaped by jumping out of the vehicle when she realized the driver had cancelled the ride and was moving in the opposite direction of her destination. The teen’s mother is thinking about pressing charges.
“And Lift has the audacity after this incident to roll out a lift service for 13 – 17 year olds?” wrote one commenter on YouTube.
“How many parents do you think will actually be monitoring their kids ride through the app from beginning to end? Most of these parents don’t even know what their kids are doing on the internet….under the same roof and in the next room. This could become a predictor’s paradise. Just like that game Roblox. These companies will do anything for money. They don’t care about the safety of these kids.
“And people allow it by complaining while continuing to use these services.”
