Close to $50 billion of taxpayer dollars have been given to automakers to develop electric vehicles. Despite these handouts, automakers are slowing the production of EVs and even pulling out of Canada altogether.
It’s clear the Trudeau government’s EV strategy is not paying off. Canadians deserve accountability. It is our money, after all. Last week, Liberal, Bloc and NDP MPs on the Innovation committee shut down a motion to study the government’s failed EV strategy.
