Leap forward: TTSAO sets next conference date for February 29th, 2024

The Truck Training Safety Association of Ontario (TTSAO) has selected February 29th, 2024 as the date for its next conference, again at the Lion’s Gate in Brampton.

“We are going to take a ‘quantum leap’ into the future,” says President Philip Fletcher of the Leap Year date. The 2024 conference will once again be held at Lion’s Gate Golf and Country Club.  

The date was set at TTSAO’s Annual General Meeting which was held February 21st. Fletcher presented the Association’s financial report on behalf of Treasurer George Cierpich who was unfortunately ill. TTSAO’s fiscal position is excellent, says Chair Ken Adams: “We will be around for another 30 years,” he says.

Tory’s surging ride-share bills before quitting

I was planning to wait until the final expense data for 2022 was posted. I also intended to do a more in-depth exploration of whether it matters that mayoral staffers have increasingly relied on a private transportation option to get around while doing their jobs — in the midst of TTC ridership struggles — but recent happenings have caused those plans to change. This data, after all, will be way less relevant with someone else in the mayor’s seat.

Still, I think the data is interesting.

“Training with Technology” will be a key theme at the TTSAO’s 30th Anniversary Conference February 21 and 22.

The Truck Training Schools Association of Ontario (TTSAO) is back on track with its annual conference schedule, after missing two annual conferences due to COVID-19 then hosting a “summer solution” in 2022.

President Philip Fletcher is enthusiastic about this year’s accent on technology and is particularly keen on demonstrations of simulator training.
