Niagara Region reviewing Taxi fares
By-laws should be consistent with surrounding jurisdictions and best practices
Niagara Region has informed ground transportation operators that it is currently reviewing the Taxicab and Transportation Network Company (TNC) By-law.
“Niagara Region Business Licensing is currently undertaking a review of the existing Taxi/Transportation Network Company By-law,” Chris Johnston, Manager of Business Licensing confirmed for Taxi News in an email on October 14th.
“This review is part of a broader effort to ensure our licensing framework (by-laws) is consistent with surrounding jurisdictions and reflects current industry best practices.”
Johnston indicates that respondents have until October 20, 2025 to provide feedback.
