Canadian soldier and reservist James Topp arrived in Ottawa today around 6pm, where he was met by a crowd of cheering supporters.
Topp walked more than 4000 across Canada from Vancouver to bring attention to protest COVID vaccine mandates, policies he says deny employment to people who make their own medical decisions. “They discriminate and divide society in two. They are based upon a government narrative unsubstantiated by scientific evidence,” Topp says.

Conservative Party leadership candidate Pierre Poilievre joined Topp for the last leg of his journey, as did People’s Party leader Maxime Bernier.
Today I walked alongside military veteran, James Topp, who has travelled the country by foot for free choice.
