‘Vision Zero’ — can we ever achieve a world without road fatalities?

It seems that Vision Zero — as with many things — could be pulling innovators towards complex ideas that attempt to achieve the end goal in one key step. While big ideas have great value, we are all sometimes guilty of overlooking the more prosaic aspects of a problem — and a more simple idea may be the one to push us much closer to Vision Zero.

Will Net-Zero kill the on-demand Accessible dream?

I am trying hard to find balance in my mind between two goals set by Toronto: on-demand Accessible Taxi service for members of the disabled community, and Net-Zero emissions.

Unfortunately, it seems that as Toronto hopes to move forward toward its goal of Net-Zero emissions, the goal of on-demand Accessible Taxi service is demonstrably, measurably being pushed in reverse.

Letter to the Editor: Proud of Trucking’s stance on COVID shots

I’m proud of our trucking stance on this issue. One thing that is laughable is the whining about the officer over his pension repayments. I’ve been in trucking for 20+ years and still have yet to receive a single pension from the industry, so Road Warrior News commenting on issue is laughable in a sad laughing way, to most truckers……most of us will NEVER retire and have never had the luxuries of a pension in our lives due to sickening employers who would rather not pay that and still profiteer in the industry.

Pierre Poilievre is Conservative Leader today because the Truckers’ Convoy protested in January

Canada had no Official Opposition to Justin Trudeau’s tyrannical tantrums during 2021 and 2022: Jagmeet Singh was conveniently bought off, and Erin O’Toole completely abdicated his responsibility to oppose. The Truckers stepped up and paid their own money to oppose Trudeau, while Jagmeet Singh and Erin O’Toole cheerfully cashed the paycheques they received to oppose while opposing nothing.

The Truckers’ Convoy had nothing to do with the business of Trucking: it was all about opposing tyranny. At that, it has chalked up several important victories, including giving Pierre Poilievre the opportunity to become Conservative Leader and to replace Justin Trudeau.

We owe so much to that Convoy.
