“Carney said during the election that he was canceling the carbon tax, and he would impose an industrial tax,” commentator Ian Connerty notes in the most recent Radical Centre Podcast, “but he didn’t say the obvious: industries are simply going to pass that on. He also talked about hidden taxes on steel in the cars you buy. It’s everywhere; people who manufacture are simply going to add it on and we’re going to pay for it, as consumers.”
