Letter to the Editor: Proud of Trucking’s stance on COVID shots

I’m proud of our trucking stance on this issue. One thing that is laughable is the whining about the officer over his pension repayments. I’ve been in trucking for 20+ years and still have yet to receive a single pension from the industry, so Road Warrior News commenting on issue is laughable in a sad laughing way, to most truckers……most of us will NEVER retire and have never had the luxuries of a pension in our lives due to sickening employers who would rather not pay that and still profiteer in the industry.

COVID-19 vaccines and religious freedom

In these two awards, the Arbitrators applied a relatively low threshold for establishing that objections to taking a COVID-19 vaccine were covered by religion and creed protections. However, as noted above, these findings are only the first part of the analysis. Employers are only required to accommodate religious beliefs if doing so does not constitute undue hardship, and a key factor which may create undue hardship is health and safety risk. COVID-19 vaccine requirements are measures to increase workplace health and safety. These two awards did not have to consider how accommodating these religious beliefs could be reconciled with health and safety concerns, and that will likely be the key issue for employers who are faced with these claims in their own workplaces.

Crown drops charges against seven Freedom Convoy protestors

OTTAWA: The Justice Centre is pleased to announce that the Crown has stayed 49 charges against seven Freedom Convoy protestors who took part in a peaceful protest in Ottawa. In the past two weeks, the Crown stayed these charges due to a lack of evidence. The seven protestors participated in the peaceful Ottawa protest that occurred in January to February 2022, and saw thousands of truckers and Canadians assemble to protest government covid restrictions and vaccine mandates. The protestors were charged with mischief, mischief to property, disobeying a lawful order, and obstruction of a peace officer. All seven maintain their innocence and believe that the right to peaceful protest is essential for a healthy democracy.

COVID was a smokescreen and a massive psychological operation

Put simply, Covid-19 was not an epidemiological event, it was a money laundering scheme, a smoke screen for economic/social restructuring towards total control and a massive psychological operation among a few other items.

Two and a half years later, as bureaucrats and politicians wind down the Covid restrictions in order to quell growing unrest, we can be assured they will insist on retaining the “right” to re-impose them at will.

As long as “new variants lurk right around the corner,” public health bureaucrats and pandemic profiteers can invent the next “health emergency” to impose more shutdowns for any “viral event” that conveniently suits their political and financial aims.
