Government fails both Taxi and Uber drivers

Re: “Advice to Uber Drivers: quit Uber, drive Taxi” October 18

To the Editor,

Since entering the Vehicle For Hire industry, Uber has managed to circumvent effective regulation, leaving the company a free hand to do whatever they please.  Over the years, nothing has changed with regards to business practices that leave their affiliated drivers scrambling to earn a reasonable living.  Where are our governments on this file? 

Clearly, asleep at the switch.
