BC’s “Air Quality News” last updated in September
Carolyn Bauer of Vancouver’s Yellow Cab forwarded this image of downtown Vancouver on New Year’s Eve to the BC provincial government January 1st.
“Good morning, this is a quick snap of the Uber drivers that we are operating in downtown Vancouver only on New Years Eve,” explained Bauer, who says the 40,000 vehicles for hire permitted by the province are killing the city.
BC’s Ministry of Environment and Parks dedicates an entire webpage which is dedicated to reporting on Air Quality; it was last updated on September 4, 2024. Taxi News has written the Ministry to ask for comment on New Year’s Eve traffic levels and how they impact Air Quality levels. No response has been received at time of posting, however, this article will be updated if a response is received.
