Rideshare driver charged with sexual assault

Police are concerned there may be more victims

On March 19th, the Toronto Police Service notified the public of an arrest made in a Sexual Assault investigation.

On Tuesday, February 24, 2026, police responded to a call for a Sexual Assault in the Bloor Street West and Queens Park area.

It is alleged that:

  • a male victim, 21, ordered a rideshare
  • the rideshare driver picked up the victim and during the drive made a sexual comment to the victim
  • the rideshare driver stopped the car and entered the back seat with the victim
  • the rideshare driver sexually assaulted the victim and left the area in his vehicle, leaving the victim on the sidewalk
  • the suspect’s vehicle is a grey Toyota Corolla

On Wednesday, March 18, 2026, Harsimranjot Dhillon, 33, of Caledon, was arrested and charged with:

  1. Sexual Assault

He is scheduled to appear in court at the Ontario Court of Justice, 10 Armoury Street, on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., in room 203.

Police are concerned there may be more victims.
