Private Member’s Motion for Rideshare passes
Ontario’s Parliament approved a Private Member’s Motion to create a “streamlined, standard Provincial Regulatory Framework for Rideshare Programs” on May 7th, 2026.
Motion 66, introduced by Lanark-Frontenac-Kingston member John Jordon passed unanimously.
The text of the motion reads: “That, in the opinion of this House, the Government of Ontario should create a streamlined, standard Provincial Regulatory Framework for Rideshare Programs and continue to improve first mile last mile access across the province.”
