Oakville considering proposed licensing by-law

The Town of Oakville will consider a “proposed business licenising by-law” this month.
“As a business with a taxi owner licence with the Town of Oakville, the Municipal Enforcement Services Department would like to notify you that Town Council will be considering a proposed business licensing by-law at its January 26 meeting starting at 6:30 p.m.,” Oakville taxi operators were informed in an email sent January 8th.
“The Council meeting agenda, including a copy of the related report, appendices and the proposed by-law, is expected to be available online for review on January 15. If you would like to delegate and share your feedback with Council on this matter, please visit our Delegations and Presentations page,” writes Karyn Bennett, Strategic Business Advisor at Municipal Enforcement Services, Oakville.
“Please note – if the proposed by-law is approved by Council, it will come into effect on January 4, 2027.”
