“Not one open scale” on Ontario run

Regarding: Shuniah inspection station closed again

I’ve only seen it open once, and they weren’t inspecting anyone, just waving everyone through.  

My last trip across Ontario was from the Quebec border on the 417 through North Bay, Cochrane and Thunder Bay to the Manitoba border.  Not one open scale.  

Believe me, every driver knows you can run as illegal as you like (weights, dimensions, HOS, etc) across Ontario with little or no chance of getting caught.
