Nipissing MPP Fedeli rear-ended by transport truck
“He is OK” staff report
Incumbent Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli was taken to hospital Friday as a precautionary measure after the vehicle he was in was struck by a transport truck, CTV News reports on Friday, February 14th.
“He was stopped at a traffic light on the bypass and hit from behind by a tractor-trailer,” a member of his campaign team told Eric Taschner of CTV News Northern Ontario. “Car pushed through the intersection. He is OK. They are checking him out as a precaution.”
The collision took place on Highway 11 at O’Brien Street, CTV says.
Commercial truck driver training and enforcement is considered a key issue in the current Ontario election by the NDP’s northern caucus members.
