iCabbi’s Kevin French to present on July 25 CTA webinar

Entire city, province or country served within single Taxi app

Canadian Taxi companies looking for inventive ways to recruit drivers are finding new opportunities through the iCabbi platform.

On July 25th, Kevin French, CEO Americas for iCabbi will be the guest presenter on the Canadian Taxi Association (CTA) Zoom webinar and will provide important detail and new product demonstrations.

“Drivers – particularly drivers who are switching from rideshare companies – are really pleased with the level of detail their Taxi companies using iCabbi can provide to them as they are working,” French explains. “Our team can provide virtually limitless combinations of field views as they wish drivers to see them; we can update or add to these fields as your Taxi company receives requests from drivers who want to see distances, estimates, or other specific information.

“Consumers also express high satisfaction levels with the iCabbi interface, as its customer rating on App stores is as high or higher than competing apps by Uber and Lyft,” he adds.

French is particularly enthusiastic about the national Taxi Alliance being made possible through the platform’s market reach.

“iCabbi has amassed enough Taxi provider inventory in Canada to rival the Transportation Network Companies, but in a pure licensed Taxi form which will enable an entire city, province or country to be served within one single Taxi app. We have every major and secondary city covered and have the technology to enable the facility. We feel strongly that this must be in partnership with our taxi customers similar to our Taxi Alliance in the UK. I plan to present new, and more detailed information on the National Canadian Taxi app on July 25th.

With more than 30 years delivering technology for the ground transportation industry, French is steeped in the crucial importance of the services.

“Technology and automation are critical to both the short and long-term success for the industry’s eco-system,” he says. “To the outside world, the industry seems simple: “someone asks to be picked up – and you go pick them up!”

“In reality, it involves a phone system including IVR, call center, dispatch system, and passenger and driver apps. Also back-office invoicing and driver payment, cashless payments, advertising, reporting, accessibility, security, regulatory requirements, insurance minimization, and as we progress into electric vehicles, a closer connection to the car.

Of course, French adds, “this must be operational and supported 24 hours per day, 365 days per year.

“My team and I are responsible for representing and fighting for the North American needs of our customers and prospects. Although the iCabbi product line is unsurpassed in its capabilities and customizations, there are always ‘local’ demands and requirements. In certain situations, we handle market requirements ourselves by using the powerful iCabbi Open API which is also available to our Mobile Knowledge customers. In addition, we have a diverse set of marketplace partners who both supplement and enhance our customer’s experience.”
