“Great Race” pits cyclist, car and TTC

David Menzies blames UberEats e-cyclists for clogging traffic

An hilarious October 7th video clip by Dave “The Menzoid” Menzies of Rebel News confirms what every Toronto driver has long suspected: it’s faster to bike than drive to downtown TO. It might even be faster to walk.

Menzie left north Toronto on a bike, while two other Rebel staffers left at the same time, one in car and the other taking the TTC. Menzies made it to Yonge-Dundas Square in 31 minutes; the car driver made it in 37; and the TTC rider needed 46 minutes to arrive at the destination. Background information included the fact that Toronto’s gridlock is worse than New York; Los Angeles; and Mexico City.

In one telling shot, Menzies pulls up to a Beck Taxi which is fully stopped at a stop sign. He blows right through the stop sign without even slowing down, which might help explain why he had the fastest time, and also why drivers hate cyclists.
