Ernie Grzincic, taxi industry stalwart, passes away: funeral, livestream information for Feb. 7

Ernest Grzincic November 28, 1962 – January 28, 2022
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Ernie after a long battle with cancer. Ernie died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving wife Martha, cherished children Ivana, (Ronald), Marko, Victoria, Julia, and devoted sister Suzi. He leaves behind his heartbroken parents Ivan and Erna, brother-in-law Anthony, nephew Neven and niece Ariana. The short time Ernie spent being Dida to his grandkids, Noah and Isaiah will be forever cherished in our hearts. Ernie will be deeply missed by his extended family and lifelong friends.
Ernie was born in Croatia and settled in Canada with his parents in 1965. His kindness, patience and tenacity in all his business ventures earned the everlasting respect and friendship from colleagues and clients. More importantly, the time he spent with family and friends always included mouth-watering food, good drinks (commonly referred to as “drinky-poos”) and when possible a good beach. We’d like to remember Ernie for his free spirit, love of life and great hugs. We will live our lives as Ernie did: fearlessly and with no regrets, always looking forward to the next adventure.
