Confusion reigns over payment options
“I produce the cartoon strip ‘Old School’ about different scenarios that older folks go through,” Lead Pedal Media’s Bruce Outridge tells Taxi News.
“This scenario sparked inspiration as my Mother went to Atlanta to see my Uncle, and had a hell of a time going from her hotel to my Uncle’s nursing home. My wife and also had the same issues in San Diego a few years ago. I am not necessarily a fan of Uber, but you can’t seem to get a ride even at a taxi stand,” Outridge notes, referring to airports at which Taxis (which take cash) have been virtually driven out of business by rideshare vehicles (which are not supposed to take cash, but sometimes do when they work off-app).
It’s hard for industry professionals to keep straight, never mind senior citizens travelling.
