A bus driver in Alberta provided Road Warrior News with these photos of empty busses lined up in a lot booked for the Pope’s visit to Edmonton.
“Hundreds of busses were booked to travel to Manitoba and Saskatchewan, to pick up crowds of people to bring them to the Pope’s event. However, there weren’t any crowds to pick up and most of the busses travelled back empty,” the bus driver said, noting that Alberta spent approximately $20 million on the Pope’s visit.
