“Thank You, Truckers!” event at Bikers’ Church
Celebratory atmosphere as speakers recall 2022 Freedom Convoy
Attendees at the March 16th “Thank You, Truckers!” book launch event were a happy, if soggy, group of people. Everyone there braved a torrential rainstorm to make to to the Bikers’ Church, which had stayed open from 10am to 10pm to support the Truckers every day during the Freedom Convoy in February, 2022.
The fact that Justin Trudeau lost in Emergencies Act invocation case in court and had been forced to resign as Prime Minister was considered positive news by everyone in the room. Members of the Bikers’ Church, out-of-town visitors, Truckers and those who supported them present to hear speakers including “Thank You, Truckers!” author Donna Laframboise.
Retired Ottawa Police Services officer Rob Stocki detailed for the room the number of ways in which police were in contravention of Canada’s laws during the Convoy, including violating Charter rights.
Melissa McKee of the Bikers’ Church organized, promoted and emceed the event, keeping everyone engaged, laughing and thinking.

“Thank You, Truckers!” is about Canada’s heroes and those who helped them,” Donna Laframboise told the enthusiastic crowd at the Bikers’ Church.
“It tells the story of what happened three years ago, here in Canada.
In this church, in this city, in this nation: that magnificent, spectacular event known as the ‘Freedom Convoy.’
It was a protest for the history books, for the ages, and it inspired the world. We did this.” Photo: Road Warrior News
