VFH review: what’s next?
Taxi News has contacted Toronto staff to request more information and more detailed information on what is next on the schedule for the city’s Vehicle for Hire review.
The reply from Shane Gerard, Senior Communications Co-ordinator in Toronto’s media office indicates that the “Next Steps” page of the staff VFH PowerPoint presentations is the most detail available. This indicates that the rest of the summer and fall will be spent developing policy recommendations, with the report still scheduled to be presented to the Economic and Community Development Committee on November 26th.
Industry members report that they have been invited to attend one-on-one meetings with staff during this period.
Gerard also suggested interested parties visit Toronto’s website for updated information. The online survey, which had been extended twice, was closed on July 26th.
