Truck Driver mentorship program launching in Ontario

The Truck Training Schools Association of Ontario (TTSAO) is very proud to announce The Smart Driver Mentor Program© .  The program can give TTSAO graduates the opportunity to move into meaningful employment with companies approved to use or adopt the use of a proper in-house mentorship program.

“The program is the pre-eminent method of allowing new drivers entry into the industry in a safe, structured and monitored manner, which carriers and insurers will appreciate,” says Philip Fletcher, president of TTSAO.

The program has been designed to bridge the gap between successful completion of the Entry Level Training curriculum, and the necessity of meeting the requirements for employment with a carrier.

In association with Cutler TCMS Inc.  and DriverVerified™, the need to be assessed and viable is completed with a TTSAO school,  real-time monitoring is provided by Cutler TCMS Inc, while all documentation is collected by Driver Verified.

“This wrap-around program will work with carriers to onboard and train their new drivers to learn all of the necessary knowledge and obligations of employment, while being overseen by qualified individuals and industry experts,” explains Shane Cutler of Cutler TCMS Inc.

“DriverVerified is pleased to support professional drivers as they upgrade their skills and comply with important industry criteria,” says Caleb Krahn of DriveVerified. “We have already created systems required to manage the Smart Driver Mentor Program for our clients.”

The Smart Driver Mentor Program© has been available in the industry since 2020  and has helped  companies put drivers in their seats with the acceptance of their insurance partner. Interested parties should contact Philip Fletcher at TTSAO.
