Toronto police warn of rideshare sex assault, believe there may be more victims

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an arrest in a sexual assault investigation. It is alleged that on Sunday, October 30, 2022, a woman ordered transportation from a ride-share app. During the ride, the woman fell asleep. She was sexually assaulted during the ride.

On Sunday, October 30, 2022, Harpreet Brar, 24, of Brampton, was arrested. He has been charged with Sexual Assault.

Investigators believe there may be more victims. An image has been released. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 416-808-3200, Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477), or at www.222tips.com.
