Niagara firefighter’s Reality Song protests being indoors: “Get up, get out, and live your reality song”

Niagara fire fighter Angus James Butler found a novel way to get around COVID restrictions in recording a new version of his quintessentially Canadian tune “Reality Song.” He and his wife recorded the duet over their telephones, which contributes to the casual, “unplugged” take on the song which was originally released as part of Fenian Raid’s 2013 CD “Acoustic Shadows.”

Brian Peckford will be joining the Truckers’ Convoy in Ottawa this weekend, organizer Roy Beyer announced on February 9th.

Talking to Americans: Why Truckers are in Ottawa protesting, Part One on BCB TV

On February 9th, Texas Trucking broadcaster BCB Live TV (“The Safest Station in the Nation!”) invited me on to explain the Freedom Convoy 2022 to American viewers.

Rita Smith

I really appreciate the fact that host “DriveSafe Dave” allowed me to put the 2022 Convoy in the context of Canada’s 20 years of pandemic experience and research – which, unfortunately, Canada and the world discarded completely in dealing with COVID-19.

Police, not Truckers, blocked access to Bluewater Bridge: MP Marilyn Gladu

Sarnia police who claimed it was Truckers blocking access to the Bluewater Bridge were not telling the truth, says Sarnia-Lambton MP Marilyn Gladu.

“It was the police who blocked access with their cars, and then told me it was the protesters,” Gladu told Road Warrior News.

“My contacts who were at the protest immediately sent me photos and video footage to show it was the police, not the Truckers who were blocking border access. Protesters left a lane wide open to allow traffic to pass.”

The fact that GoFundMe can do what it did is the whole entire real actual reason Truckers are protesting: Social Credit Score banking in under 5 minutes by Rita Smith

On today’s Lead Pedal Broadcast radio show, host Bruce Outridge asked me to explain what happened on February 6th with GoFundMe and the Freedom Convoy’s missing $10 million.

I took advantage of the opportunity to explain to him that the only thing standing between Canada and the Chinese Social Credit banking system is a thin, noisy line of Truckers on Parliament Hill.

OOIDA calls upon Trudeau and Biden to exempt Truckers from vaccine mandates

The Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association (OOIDA) is the largest trade association
representing the views of small-business truckers and professional truck drivers. OOIDA has
over 150,000 members in North America, including nearly 1,000 Canadian drivers. OOIDA’s
mission is to promote and protect the interests of its members on any issues that might impact
their economic well-being, working conditions, and the safe operation of commercial motor
vehicles (CMVs) on our roads.
We are requesting that professional truck drivers be exempted from the cross-border vaccination
requirements that the Canadian government implemented on January 15th, 2022, for essential
service providers. The exemption should apply to all U.S. drivers entering Canada as well as any
Canadian drivers returning home.

Ottawa requires a political solution, not a policing solution: Truckers

“There is no policing resolution to this. This situation requires a political solution. The Chief of Ottawa Police cannot give us what we want,” convoy spokesperson Chris Barber stated in a press conference held February 6th shortly after Ottawa Mayor Jim Watson declared a “State of Emergency.”

“The Prime Minister of Canada, he has the power to do that. His cabinet has the power to do that. The Government of Canada has the power to end this. They need to sit down and talk with us. Tomorrow, I will make a public statement on how we believe we can come together and make that happen. Thank you.”

100% of the science is behind the Truckers, say Doctors

In an unusual move at the press conference held by Freedom Convoy 2022 organizers following Ottawa’s declaration of a “State of Emergency,” the first speakers at the event were two medical doctors.

Dr. Paul Alexander and Dr. Roger Hodgkinson opened the press conference with remarks supporting the Truckers’ call for complete removal of COVID mandates.

“It is time that we stop, and that we declare this pandemic emergency over,” Dr. Paul Alexander, researcher in evidence-based medicine and research methodology at McMaster University told the room.

Ottawa has lost control of itself: Matt Gurney’s “stream of thought”

2. The tactical situation for Ottawa is grim. Having lost control, it can’t get it back without a confrontation, and it isn’t confident it would win that confrontation. I think Sloly knows this. I think he’s trying to convince his bosses.

3. Ottawa is going to need to be “rescued” by outside help. Again, Sloly knows this. That’s why he’s already talking about the military. I’d think a police effort with massive reinforcements is more likely than a military response, but I’m not too confident in that prediction.

4. In the main, though, while this isn’t Jan. 6, per se, Canada doesn’t have effective control over its capital. It can get it back. It will. But for now, it’s lost it. Our government doesn’t have control of the capital city. Super.
